Facebook's appearance in the Pride Parade came just days after Zuckerberg posted a Facebook status saying he is proud that the country is moving in the right direction. He also added that he is happy for many of his friends and family members. Zuckerberg's Facebook status followed two Supreme Court rulings that many say were steps in the right direction for the LGBTQ community. The court ruled that married same sex couples are entitled to federal benefits, and declined to rule on a California case that will effectively allow same sex couples to marry in California.
